Ready 4 Youth Work
A Step Forward: KDETYD’s Participation in a European Program in Slovakia
Our association, INNOVATING ACTIVITIES IN EDUCATION, TOURISM, HEALTH, AND INTERCULTURALITY (KDETYD), had the honor of representing Greece in the European Youth Exchange Program “Ready 4 Youth Work,” which took place from August 3 to August 11, 2025, in Suchá nad Parnou, Slovakia. Hosted by the organization Future Generation Europe, 24 young people from six different countries—Lithuania (Society and Enterprise Development Institute), Slovenia (MTÜ Avastusmatkad), Estonia (Mladinska zveza Brezizgovora), Italy (APS Educazione Benessere), Greece (KDETYD), and Slovakia—participated in a unique educational journey of personal and professional development.
Three Axes, One Experience
Through non-formal education activities and experiential learning, the young people explored three core themes: communication, artificial intelligence, and well-being. The workshops focused on analyzing artificial intelligence, addressing its applications, ethical implications, and the associated risks, such as personal data protection and environmental impact. At the same time, participants organized their own workshops, creating an environment for a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences, while developing their skills in active listening and empathy.
Well-being, Self-awareness, and Empathy
Emphasis was also placed on mental health and well-being. A visit to the Mental Health Center in Bratislava provided the young people with the opportunity to discuss resilience and burnout. With the help of specialists, they participated in hands-on workshops on self-care and problem-solving, recognizing the importance of open communication and support from their environment. This experience strengthened their self-confidence and gave them tools to manage modern challenges.
The Impact and the Message for the Future
This kind of program not only provides knowledge but also creates strong bonds of friendship and solidarity. Through the activities, our young people spoke openly about the difficulties they face and sought solutions, while also developing a strong sense of European identity. Their participation in the program proved that the new generation is ready to lead the way in creating a better future. We invite you to continue exploring the world and yourselves through the unique experiences that the Erasmus+ programs offer.
