Next Step to Europe – Step 6
Press Release
The Association “Innovative Actions in Education, Tourism, Health and Intercultural Dialogue” (KDETID) organized, from October 20 to November 10, a Student Poster Competition on the theme:
“Fake News and Misinformation.”
The initiative took place within the framework of the EU Programme CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values 2021–2027) and the project “Next Step to Europe – Boosting active citizenship among youth in small cities,” which aims to strengthen the active participation of young citizens, particularly in smaller cities.
Students from the General and Vocational High Schools (Lyceums and EPAL) of our city participated enthusiastically — they were inspired, designed, and presented their own creations, expressing in an original and creative way the contemporary and crucial issue of fake news and misinformation.
Through their participation, the young people researched, collaborated, and reflected on the importance of critical thinking, reliable information, and active, responsible citizenship in the modern European environment.
This initiative is part of a series of educational and cultural actions organized by KDETID, aiming to empower young people, strengthen their democratic awareness, and promote the European values of equality, respect, and participation.
