PRESS RELEASE

School Information Sessions on the European Project “Ready 4 Youth Work”

On October 6, 8, and 14, 2025, information sessions were held in schools across Drama regarding the European project “Ready 4 Youth Work”, which took place in Slovakia from August 3 to 11, 2025, under the Erasmus+ programme.

The sessions were organized by young members of the association Innovative Actions in Education, Tourism, Health, and Interculturalism (K.D.E.T.Y.D.), who participated in the project and shared with students their experiences, knowledge, and the benefits they gained.

Objectives and Content of the Programme

The “Ready 4 Youth Work” project was designed to empower young people active in the youth sector by equipping them with knowledge and skills in modern and relevant thematic areas such as:
• communication and collaboration in an international environment,
• artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in education and youth work,
• wellbeing and mental resilience,
• as well as the ethical challenges arising from rapid technological advancement.

Through interactive workshops and group-based activities, participants had the opportunity to apply their new knowledge in practice by designing and implementing their own educational sessions. This experiential approach enhanced their confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills.

Dissemination and Awareness Activities

As part of the dissemination of the project results, the young participants from K.D.E.T.Y.D. visited schools in the region, where they presented the project and shared their experiences with secondary school students.

During the sessions, students:
• learned about the mobility and learning opportunities offered by Erasmus+,
• discussed artificial intelligence and its use in youth work,
• reflected on the ethical and social dimensions of technological development,
• and, through creative art workshops, produced works themed around Fake News and the impact of misinformation on everyday life and democracy.

These activities provided students with a hands-on and creative learning experience, strengthening critical thinking, teamwork, and active engagement with issues relevant to the younger generation.

Messages and Future Prospects

Through their presentations and discussions with students, the K.D.E.T.Y.D. participants encouraged young people to make use of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, emphasizing that participation in European initiatives is a valuable life experience. Such actions enable young people to gain international exposure, exchange cultural ideas, and grow as active citizens of Europe.

K.D.E.T.Y.D. continues to support the participation of local youth in European programmes and to promote education, creativity, and volunteerism as key pillars for the development of the local community.
