📢 “Voices Claiming the Light”: An Experiential Empowerment Workshop in Drama
On the occasion of November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the KDETYD Association (Innovating Activities in Education, Tourism, Health, and Interculturality) stood by women whose voices often remain on the sidelines.
In an emotionally charged event, we hosted 12 women from the Controlled Temporary Accommodation Facility for Asylum Seekers in Drama (Ministry of Migration & Asylum). The workshop took place in a hall kindly provided by the Municipality of Drama.
🎨 What we shared during the Experiential Workshop:
Through the power of the group, the participants found the courage to speak about their reality:
- Discussion & Heartfelt Sharing: We talked about their difficult living conditions and the painful realization of their—often non-existent—rights in their countries of origin and during their journey.
- Messages Through the Lens: Through a special photography process, the women themselves became the medium to send messages of strength and solidarity to all women around the world who suffer.
- Poster Creation: They designed their own posters, transforming their pain and hopes into colors and shapes, demanding a world without fear.
🤝 Our Commitment
For KDETΥD, November 25th is not just an anniversary. It is a reminder that violence (physical, psychological, digital) can only be combated through empowerment and education.
We continue to build bridges of intercultural communication, supporting every woman struggling for the obvious: Her freedom and her safety.
